Salma Hayek's Elisa the Puerto Rican nurse is a great add to this season's 30 Rock. Really the only positive change that she show has had. She (Elisa) and GE strongman Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) make a great pair. She brings the spicy, Latina, big-breasted vibe and he's the prototypical big-business, bigwig with rich, conservative hair. Together, like a McFlurry, they are two perfect complementary flavors. Last night's episode notwithstanding (no spoilers here, sonny jim) they make a heck of a pair.

Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek make such a good pair that she choose him over her new, actual billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault. As you may remember, Salma Hayek and the PPR (a luxury brand which owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Puma etc.) headman were stealthily married over Valentine's Day. But instead of going on a honeymoon, according to Celebitchy, the actress boarded a plane (possibly a private one) to fly back to NYC and film the remainder of her guest star spots for 30 Rock. Dedication? Si. Professionalism? Si. Backup plan? Si.

Most people marry a billionaire and figure they're on easy street, but the Mexican-born actress has other plans, big plans. To act and produce and act some more. And, obviously, you're not going to leave Tina Fey in the lurch because she will totally get someone at Saturday Night Live to lampoon you, plus it seems like she would be great for a guest spot on the Hayek-produced Ugly Betty. And finally, the relationship between Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been notably rocky. Sure they had a kid and they did get married on the third most romantic day of the year (have you ever been to a St. Patrick's Day or Cinco de Mayo wedding? Intense, brah.)

We assume that everyone knows what he/ she is getting into. But sometimes this is what happens when a gorgeous, hot-blooded, voluptuous Latina woman and a straight-laced, middle-aged, white capitalist try to make a go of it.
