Personally, I completely think it's true that men and women are different. We have different brain chemistry, different ways of processing stress and a different way of looking at the world. And it's perfectly OK that we're different; it's what makes us attracted to each other. No one wants to marry, date or relate with a clone of themselves. And if they do there is a clinical definition for it called narcissism! In my experience, one of the reasons people are so resistant to accepting that we're different is because women especially have to act like men in the business world to get things done. When we do this, and we do it well, we are rewarded for our efforts. That reward reinforces the belief that we're just like men-- but the problem is that men still want to be in relationships with women. Men love the things that make us feminine and clearly those things are different that normal male behavior. If we act like men, if we believe that we are just like men, then men are turned off by us. It's one thing to love the Redskins and be able to talk football with the guys, but there comes a time when a man wants you to be a woman, not one of the guys. Accepting this and embracing the things that make you a woman will help to attract men to you. Not the other way around. Good luck! |

I disagree. I don't think the sexes are that different. It is just a function of our culture. I love this article! |
