Well, this should settle it for those of you who are arguing that Hilary Duff claims she is a virgin. According to Us Magazine, the pop star claims that even though Elle claimed the star said she was a virgin in 2006, Duff tells Maxim in their January issue, “You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that. That's nobody's business but my own. Somehow it turned into a bad thing!”
The star, who has been dating hockey star Mike Comrie, says she is a “relationship person.” We reported recently that the good girl is all grown up in her new music video, which was banned from airing on MTV without edits due to sensual images of Duff sucking on the fingers of a male model and she claims it is hard for her fans and their parents to let her grow up. She states, “"Mothers come up to me and say, 'Don't ever change; you're such a good girl. I am a good girl. But how can I say I won't ever change? That's impossible.”
It has to totally suck to grow up in front of cameras like this. As a child star and someone who evidently has some morals, Duff has really never been a wild child like some of her peers and it appears that the public might be a bit reluctant to look at Lizzie Maguire getting her freak on. Hey, she’s wearing underwear and she is above the age of legal consent (and legal drinking age, mind you), so there really is nothing wrong with what she is doing.
During this holiday season, you might bring your first boyfriend home or have your parents request you sleep in separate beds for a while. If this is the first time or you’re not married, indulge the parents and sleep separately. Nothing is more alarming to parents than the sexualization of their own kids, even though they know it is happening, it does not have to happen under their roof. Now, if you get married or you’re in a serious relationship, sit them down and talk to them about it. It might make the holidays a lot more merry and bright.
