When it comes to talking smack about his woman, just know that if you mess with the bull, you might get the horns. Us Magazine reports Brad Pitt comes out in his woman’s defense in a new interview with Rolling Stone. Evidently, a reporter for the New York Times recently reported that Angelina is “a master at manipulating the press” and Brad does not really appreciate that. The actor says, “It sounded to me like the story made Angie out to be manipulative in some way…She is savvy.” Pitt goes on to say, “I get defensive. [They're] talking about not only the woman I love, but one of the people on this planet who I have the greatest respect for. I think she's as honorable as anyone I've ever met.”
Pitt also goes into the reasons why he and his lover don’t fight anymore. Referring to the experience of shooting his new film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, he says, “What occurred to me on this film, and also with the passing of her mother [actress Marcheline Bertrand in 2007], is that there's going to come a time when I'm not going to get to be with this person anymore. I'm not going to get to be with my children anymore. Or friends, people I love and respect. And so, if we have a flare-up, it evaporates now…I don't want to waste time being angry at someone I love.”
Personally, I am a fan of this couple and I know those of you who are Team Aniston might firebomb me but I don’t care. Unfortunately, when your marriage is in trouble you run the added stress of your partner meetings someone who meets all those needs. It doesn’t make it particularly right or something I wish on anyone but some of the greatest love stories of Hollywood started with actors and actresses who met on a movie set while they were with someone else, like Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. I like the fact that he sticks up for her, I like the way they always look like they just love being with each other and with six kids (three of them biological), they arguably have a healthy sex life. One of the most important things in any relationship is that you genuinely love and respect the other person. It appears that it definitely the case when it comes to Brangelina.
I would not advise running out and adopting tons of children (although there are tons of kids out there who need good homes) or living a nomadic lifestyle, but if you desire a model for a passionate, loving relationship, you could do worse than look to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Hopefully, this couple will go the distance.
