December can be a season of romance and love for everyone, singletons included. "I just watched the movie Love Actually and it puts me in the mood to be in love, even though I'm not right now," says Marie. "I'm excited for the holiday season to start. I am going to surround myself with family and friends that will make me smile, I'm going to try not to worry about past relationships ending. Holidays are about people you love, and romantic love isn't the only kind out there. I love my friends and my family and I think that will be good for me this year."

The best part of the holidays is not having to buy a gift for someone, the cost of which you will inevitably resent upon breaking up with them. And then you'll have to trouble yourself by finding a second hand shop to get rid of all the gifts they got you. Frankly, I'm glad I'm single in December.
I agree. Im single in Alabama, have been for a year. My last relatioship was based on money issues because he was on disability, and my income tripled his. so he would steal, lie and cheat his way to the top. I thank GOD for my courage to break up with him.
