Bridesmaids Going Bankrupt

Being a bridesmaid can break the bank.

The LoveFeed reviews Kimberly Palmer's article in US News and World Report about the high cost of being a bridesmaid. From bachelorette parties and bridal showers to purchasing the bridesmaid dress, standing up in weddings can be expensive.

Can you relate?

I did not put this burden on my bridesmaid (that's right, I only had one). Why? Because the party the nails the hair....NOT IMPORTANT!! And guess what, we had a good time and are still good friends. Although, I was in a wedding this summer that hit me right around the $700 mark. But I did it, because my relationship with that person was more important than money. Not because I expect payback.

When it costs more than the ring, you've got a problem.

Well... moral of the story is don't have a super expensive bachelorette party.. Sure, go out for a few drinks, and the dress rentals and makeup etc.. shouldn't cost you anything more then 200$.. I'm cheap..
