Ever think that your taste in romantic partners is a bit off-center? Got a May-December thing going on? Not to worry! Opposites attract and these Hollywood odd couples might make you feel a little better about your own relationship preferences:
Courtney Cox and David Arquette: David’s quirky and Courtney is grounded but this couple has staying power. This May-December romance met on the set of horror movie Scream in 1996 and began courting. A couple of years later they sent out a wedding invitation with the two dressed in Halloween costumes: Arquette in a squirrel costume and Cox in a blond wig. The caption read: "We're nuts about each other." They were married in 1999 and have a daughter, Coco, and a thriving production company between the two of them.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Another May-December romance, the two were introduced through mutual friends in New York City in 2003; fans thought it was an episode of Kutcher’s popular television show, Punk’d. The two proved the critics wrong when they married in 2005, and they're are still together today, sharing custody of Demi’s three daughters, Rumer, Tallulah and Scout with Demi’s ex, Bruce Willis.
Woody Allen and Soon Yi Previn: If you can get past the ick factor of the fact that she was the adopted daughter of Woody’s ex, Mia Farrow, and the 35 year age difference, there appears to be something substantial between these two. This extremely private couple married in 1997 and has two daughters, Bechet Dumaine and Manzie Tio.
Ric Ocasek and Paulina Porizkova: The relationship between the supermodel and the odd-looking singer for The Cars began when Paulina appeared in his band’s video for the song “Drive” back in 1984 and despite a 16 year age difference the two were married five years later in 1989 in New York City. Paulina adopted Ric’s two children from a previous relationship and the two have two more sons, Jonathan and Oliver.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: Where do we start with this bizarre relationship? After auditioning the starlet for Mission Impossible III, the twice-divorced Cruise launched a campaign to win Katie’s heart, who admitted later she had posters of Cruise on her wall as a teenager. Another 16 year age difference, the two were married in 2006 and have a daughter, Suri, as well as Cruise’s two other adopted children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman, Connor and Isabella.
What does all this say? Sometimes you just need to beat your own drum, follow your heart and go with what makes you happy. Younger, older, quirky, strange: as long as it’s legal, make it work.
