I know I sound pathetic, but I posted a personal ad on backpage.com. I had posted several times before, but never meet anyone worth my time. This time when I put out my ad I was picky. I named everything I wanted my guy to have (job, own transportation, stability, responsible, etc) I got several responses calling me too high maintenance (I don't think I am at all) or a bitch. One caught my eye though and I emailed him back. We chatted on the phone, but I thought he was a bit cocky, I mean this guy said he bought new socks and underwear cause washing them to wear them again was gross! We chatted on yahoo messenger for about a year, not on a regular basis, just a hi how are you here and there. Last July he said the right thing and got me to agree to meet him for lunch, we started dating immediately which lasted 3 months before we became an official couple October 2008.

I met a BF when I took my nieces to an apple picking farm. The guy was sweet and liked kids. Too bad he was wife shopping.

I met my last boyfriend through a co-worker friend. Luckily the breakup wasn't bad, so I can maintain the friendship, too.

I met my last GF at a party. she goes to seminary with my friend.

I met my ex at a bar. He was the bartender. I gave really good tips apparently.

We met at a fundraiser, we both came with other people.
