A woman should be looking to be pampered not financially but emotionally. The only account that matters. Unlimited funding. Make her feel like a true woman. You can't achieve that through dollar signs, if you can its superficial and will only last as long as your paycheck does.
its oh so simple, as you said if she asks she pays (unless you really want to but it shouldn't be expected) and visa versa. The exception is the first date that the guy should pay, makes a good first impression.

Financial connection and totally in love and sex.....well....if you are as "independent=alone without a mate and paying the bill and living with no one else but yourself" then date and become "dependent on someone" even if the government record states that your independent. Why does dating have to cost so much and then nothing>
Both the guy and the girl have to pull out their financial statements, calculate, compare the numbers and show one another just to pay the bill on the first date? response to the person who makes more pays the bills.

Fact is it doesnt matter who makes what, if you care about the guy, then at least offer to pay. If by the 3rd date, she hasnt even offered...then she is a selfish biatch and she is gone gone gone.
