I dated a someone for just over a year and recently had to end it. Her liberal views were had conversations turning into arguments. It drove me absolutely nuts, and you people don't change.. really. They believe what they do. So to the curb she went. Weird because I could do no wrong in her eyes. Ironic.
It's posible to date w/different views, but ultimately there's too much tension. Find one of your one.

You cannot date somebody who has completely different religious views.. 2 people with who see the world differently would have a hard time connecting long term, or would always be a detriment to the relationship. Trust me, don't go there lol.
Well if a Muslim dates a Jew then he is a bad Muslim.
On a side note, I don't think I could ever date a Democrat... I would have sex with her because she is totally worthless, but I would love and treasure only a Nationalist who has pride and traditional values, that way we can pass our morals to our children.
No, that's not completely true: that rule only applies to Muslim women. The rule differs between Muslim men and Muslim women: Muslim men can marry a Christian or a Jew (people of the Book) but a Muslim woman is not allowed to marry anyone outside of the Muslim faith.
Where did you hear that? Quote me it from the Qur'an please. Unless you were saying that Muslim men have more freedom than Muslim women but marrying a non-Muslim for both is forbidden, only a bad Muslim who doesn't care about religion would do it.

Why does that make him a bad Muslim? Is it simply because of the political history behind it? Or does it have a religious basis? I may be wrong, but I don't remember anything from my Islam classes in college that state that a Muslim dating anyone from another religion makes them a bad Muslim automatically.
I don't think it matters who you date but it's important to marry/cohabit with someone who shares similar values/ethics and interests, otherwise once the 'honeymoon period' is over, you'll feel fairly lonely and bored with your partner, it's important to be mentally compatable. Also once children come along the parents need to be united in their approach of how to bring them up...that's one of the reasons why Cruise and Kidman split up, Tom's wacky scientology ideas got in the way.
You know, for once I actually enjoyed watching one of these videos and looking at it as more than a joke. I know that the person I would date (if we didn't live to far away) is an atheist, whereas I'm a Christian, and some of our values are very different... but it doesn't matter. I'm again, quite glad to be able to look at one of these videos as more than a spoof.
Glad you enjoyed it! I know you feel as if these issues don't matter now, but do you think it would eventually matter once you decide to start a family with someone who has such different views?
I hate republicans politically but frankly, a male is better off with a really traditional old fashioned conservative radically religious rightwing republican ol'school tradition family values wife.
So not only should democrat males date republicans, they should marry them too. There is nothing worse than a liberal atheist open minded leftwing feminist wife. Thats the one that cheats on ya and takes 50% of ya gold.
What makes you think that Republican women wouldn't do this either? Just because they claim to believe in one thing doesn't necessarily mean they practice it.
Don't you think the differing views on politics would eventually cause some strain in the marriage of a democrat and a republican?

My husband is an atheist Republican and I'm a Christian Democrat. We pretty much agree on most issues except for the Iraq war. I never thought I'd end up with someone with his views but he is very loving and the chemistry is awesome.
