Speed Dating Your Boss?

We’ll be the first to say that dating and interviewing are eerily similar. According to One News, IT companies in New Zealand have modeled the hiring process after the ever-popular speed-dating model (which they attribute to the U.S. Who knew?). Big-wigs set up tables and offered college seniors a chance to impress them—in two minutes. Both sides then filled out preference cards and waited for a “match.”

Two minutes? That’s kind of a lot of pressure. But I guess the resume fills in the info gaps. Maybe we should take a cue from the Kiwis and start bringing CVs on dates. Just a thought.
