Let me tell you something - the woman is right. After two years alone with my first son I was willing to marry anybody and I did. I married my best friend who had always carried a torch for me. I was too immature at the time and I just trampled his feelings but my instincts were right. Raising a child alone is the single hardest, most discouraging, lonely struggle a woman can have. Even a bad marriage is better than being alone with a child. I eventually divorced my friend and married again because I got pregant again. I told him I would not have the child without getting married so we did. The differernce between my second child and my fatherless child is a whole nother story. Children need fathers. But back on subject, even though my second marriage was a nightmare I don't regret it. I divorced. Was happily single for several years and married again. The difference in the ease of my life has been immeasurable. Whether it's the additional income or just someone to share cheauffer service, this marriage has been a plus. Marriage just makes life easier in so many respects when you have children. If I can say anything after my experience it's that intentionally being a single mother is the stupidist most selfish thing a woman can do.
