Turns out, motherhood is more like the singles scene that you thought. A recent lohud.com article chronicles a new mother’s search for other mommy friends—and how it resembles a single girl’s search for a boyfriend. Moms are going high-tech, too, joining the online arena at sites such as matchingmoms.org and lohudmoms.com in order to find other like-minded parents looking a little babble-free, adult companionship.
A snippet from the article:
“The pickup lines are the same. But they’re delivered with a mommy twist.
‘Do you come here (the playground) often?’
‘Do you want to come to my place, or shall we go to yours?’”
