Bride-To-Be Wants NASCAR Nuptials

Sharon Hughes won't be having a white wedding.

It'll be more like a black & white wedding. She and her husband-to-be are big-time NASCAR fans and didn't want to miss the Coca-Cola 600 Memorial Day weekend in Concord, North Carolina. So, she and Nolan Bailey will be married that Saturday at a campground at the Lowe's Motor Speedway, the day before the big race.

Destination weddings are fun. NASCAR is fun. We leave it to you to work out the rest of the equation. The stock car racing giant is obviously striving to secure new fans wherever it can find them. They have even partnered with Harlequin Romance novels to become more appealing to a female fan base. Weddings are meant to be a time of celebration and should be special for those involved. If you happen to like lacy white dresses, flowers, and cumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, then stick with a traditional indoor wedding. If you’re into sand, sun, and fun, then a beach wedding is probably your thing. But if you just can’t get enough Budweiser, asphalt, and bumper-to-bumper racing action, then you should obviously host your wedding at the track. No one’s going to judge you, except for Martha Stewart and every single person in your life who isn’t a diehard race fan. Enjoy.
