CHAPEL HILL -- It was all a hoax.
The Valentine's Day breakup of two North Carolina college students that became an instant hit on YouTube.com wasn't a breakup at all. The students weren't even dating.

How dare they? How dare they? How dare they pull a hoax on us? We’re the Fourth Estate! Does do they not realize how important it is that we in the media are always in on the joke? Despite the truth being unveiled, this video is worth a look. This is a good reason not to break up in public, some people have no sense of poise or propriety about these things. We suggest they invoke collaborative break-up law to avoid further social censure.
