BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Fed up with spending too many weekends going to weddings, an Argentine couple took out a paid announcement on the social pages of a major newspaper expressing their desire for some social neglect.

It’s a little rude to turn down a wedding invitation if you don't have a prior commitment, but how about turning down all wedding invitations as a matter of policy? An afternoon wedding might be a little bit of a pain, but being pressured into going to a huge party and dancing until 5 AM sounds terrible. Let’s join these Argentinians in a sympathy strike.
