DUNCANVILLE, Texas – The most popular address on Cedar Ridge Drive is Jim Trulock's split-level home, which has a group sex room and attracts as many as 100 people to swinger parties featuring “Naked Twister” nights.
But the festivities could soon be over. In response to neighbors' complaints, the city has outlawed sex clubs in residential areas. Citations have been issued, and search warrants may be next.
“It's crazy that they want to force their morality down our throats,” said Dawn Burton, 45, a regular guest at the parties. “We're all frustrated.”
We mentioned a while back that Texas swinger parties were in a spot of trouble (Check out The Dish From November 7th). Evidently, the neighbors were complaining about the parking situation because it would be a pretty lame party if all the cars could fit in the driveway. And now it looks like Duncanville is shutting these parties down. The rationale is that they are selling live sex acts. The lawyer of the club in question, The Cherry Pit, says that most attendees don’t pay but some chip in $10 to $20. We wonder if they can get them to pay for something else. You know, like in college when the fraternity party would sell you a cup for $5 instead of $5 for beer. Then again, you would probably have to get some sort of business license to sell $20 condoms. It looks like the Wild West is getting a little less wild. Maybe they could relocate to West Texas. We hear that anything goes out there.
