We just understood Kanye West’s lyrics for the first time. We think he is saying that she’s a gold digger. It’s not just coincidence that she ain’t messing with a broke n-bomb.
Since the beginning of recorded time, a large number of women just want to be taken care of and a large number of men are reasonably sure that their wealth and status will help them land their choice of hot broads. Some people even think that this ‘phenomenon’ is the cornerstone of society as we know it, so we were shocked to see someone come out and say as much. You may have been recipient of a forwarded post from Craigs List. Essentially, a brassy, 25 year-old New York gal is looking for a guy that makes over half a million per year and needs some advice. "Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy.
I'm not from New York. I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don't think I'm overreaching at all." Click here to see the rest of the Craigs List posting.
We’re not sure if this was a joke on the part of this lady or not, but it was brutally honest. And sometimes you get points for that, sometimes. Mostly, though, there are certain things that everyone knows but we just don’t say. And then when those things come to light, we all have to act indignant. “How dare they? I pay my taxes, I shouldn’t have to put up with this filth. My ancestors came over on the Mayflower!” Things like: powerful men are irresistible to young impressionable women (see Clinton, Bill). Sometimes religious leaders do rotten things (see Haggard, Ted; Bakker, Jim; Spanish Inquisition, the). Young, rich people are a little crazy (see Lohan, Lindsay; Spears, Britney). Men like young women (see Girls Gone Wild). And the world isn’t fair (see the history of everything).
