LOS ANGELES (AP) — A bisexual dating show featuring a woman who gained fame on MySpace is in the works for MTV.
"A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," in which 16 men and 16 women will compete for Tequila's affections, is set to debut Oct. 9 on the cable channel, Television Week reported Thursday.
"Tila Tequila made a name for herself by doing things her way, captivating legions of fans online, both men and women," said MTV executive Tony DiSanto. "Now she is taking that attitude and sex appeal to her own TV series where she is looking for a mate ... by again, captivating a group of both men and women."
Ah, the darling of MySpace. Tila T has her own show on MTV. But a bisexual dating show seems like a bit of a stretch. We’re pretty sure only Bravo could pull this off. It’s funny that chances are the only thing that can stop Tila Tequila is MTV. The show’s a fun idea, but the execution may be a bit difficult. At least she has her music career to fall back on after MTV deserts her. At least American men in their late 30’s and 40’s can check her out now without feeling skeevy about logging into MySpace. It last she's still mad hot.
