Jimmy Fallon is engaged to girlfriend Nancy Juvonen, a Hollywood producer who worked on Fallon's 2005 romantic comedy Fever Pitch, PEOPLE has confirmed.

The proposal took place in New Hampshire "last weekend on the dock at sunset at the Junoven's family home in Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee, where On Golden Pond was filmed," says a friend of the couple's.

"He presented her with a one-of-a-kind ring designed by Neil Lane," the friend added.

Tango’s Take

We thought that it said Jimmy Fallon was engaging and had to investigate. It turns out that he’s engaged. To a woman. As implausible as this sounds, it’s being reported all over the interweb, so it must be true. We’re proud of the one-time SNL star. We thought that he was going to disappear after he left the show. But he’s still around. He had that one movie with Queen Latifah and that one where he liked the Boston Red Sox. And he joined Justin Timberlake on the Barry Gibb Talk Show sketch. And now he’s marrying this lady. It looks like we’re eating crow. Oooops. In case this is the last we get to write about Jimmy, we want to relate an anecdote. A friend (or not, who can really tell?) missed a Jimmy Fallon comedy concert around the turn of the century. The ‘friend’ had to ‘work.’ He bumped into Jimmy later that evening and explained the flub. Fallon grabbed a butter knife and threatened to gut our friend. To this day, it’s the coolest thing that either has done, threatening and being threatened. Too bad that they missed YouTube with that one.

Speaking of YouTube: They’ve gotten pretty quick about taking down copyrighted material upon request (damn you Viacom!). So you may have missed Miss Mandy Moore covering Rhianna’s ‘Umbrella.’ Good times. In other Mandy Moore news, word is she’s dating John Mayer. We’re skeptical. That’s not really a commentary on either person, but it just seems a little far-fetched.
