Nelly Furtado Engaged to Sound Engineer Boyfriend

Grammy winner Nelly Furtado is engaged to sound engineer Demacio "Demo" Castellon, who worked on her hit 2006 album Loose, PEOPLE confirms.
Their close friend, music producer Timbaland, gave a one-word reply when asked if the engagement was true: "Yes."
The British Columbia-born Furtado, 28, told Blender in July 2006 she had a "secret boyfriend" of eight months, adding: "I just don't really talk about it. It's nobody famous or anything."

Like a bird. Perez Hilton ‘broke’ this story by showing many, many images of the Promiscuous Girl with a diamond on the ring finger of her left hand. She has made a fairly staggering comeback and image change. And now she’s going to throw it away by marrying some ‘sound engineer’. She needs to keep the mystery. Maybe date Chris Evans or Chris Isaac or Christina Milian. And then after, the next album goes platinum she’ll have sufficient juice to marry a producer. Well, she does have a kid to think about and celebrity-celebrity romances are notoriously difficult to navigate. This is probably for the best. Congratulations and make it last.

We were shocked to hear that Tony Parker and Eva Longoria got married in a civil ceremony. We were going to make a silly comment like: What’s a matter, they couldn’t get the Beatles to perform with Tupac and June Carter Cash?
It turns out that they got hitched in a civil ceremony AND will have an enormous ceremonial ceremony (we wish we could have fit ceremony in one more time in that sentence). We feel confident that they’ll turn it out on 7/7/7.
